Have You Heard About The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period?

Something that all Medicare Advantage recipients should know.

Every year, those with Medicare Advantage plans have the opportunity to modify their coverage during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA OEP).

The period of the MA OEP is January 1 to March 31. In this time frame, individuals can:

  • Switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan
  • Drop their Medicare Advantage plan and go back to Original Medicare
  • Make one plan change

During the Open Enrollment Period, learn about your Medicare Advantage alternatives. Take action by March 31 to receive better coverage. It's your decision, your health!

  • Part A is part of traditional Medicare and covers inpatient hospital insurance.
  • Part B is part of traditional Medicare and covers outpatient medical treatments.
  • Part C is made of Medicare Plans and combines the benefits of Part A and B, and may also include prescription drugs, dental, vision, hearing, and wellness services.
  • Part D deals with prescription drug coverage and provides lower cost-sharing for in-network and preferred pharmacies.
